Scorpio House Reef

Scorpio House Reef is a local dive site near Machico, on Madeira’s eastern coast. The site lies in shallow to moderate depths and is typically accessible to recreational divers with a calm entry from the shore or a short boat ride. Expect a sloping reef with rocky outcrops, sheltered conditions on calm days, and relatively gentle currents. Marine life commonly includes small reef fish, wrasse, damselfish, and common octopus in crevices, with occasional sea bream and nudibranchs. As a coastal site, it serves well for practice dives, introductory courses, and relaxed sightseeing dives when sea conditions permit.
