Rodão Porto

Rodão Porto is a local dive site near Albufeira, Pêra and Armação de Pêra in the Algarve. The area features a shallow to mid-depth profile with typical rocky seabed and partial sand patches. Access is straightforward from the nearby coastal towns, with easy entrance along the waterfront and a sandy bottom that suits beginner to intermediate divers. The site usually offers calm conditions in good weather, with visibility commonly ranging from modest to good. Marine life includes typical Algarve species such as wrasse, pike, small groupers, moray eels and various shellfish, with posidonia meadows often nearby. The topography commonly presents a gentle reef-like structure, small pinnacles or rocky outcrops, and some grooves along the seabed that attract fish. This site is suitable for training dives and relaxed recreational dives, with no notable hazards beyond standard coastal conditions.
