Panglao
Pungtod Wall
Pungtod Wall is a local wall dive off Panglao, commonly accessed from the Panglao coastline. The site features a steep drop-off with rugged rock formations and small overhangs that create nooks for macro life. Typical conditions include clear tropical water with moderate surface chop and a shallow green-blue to deep blue transition as depth increases. Entry is via a shore or small boat drop with a simple descent along the wall. Expect a variety of reef species typical of the central Philippines, including damselfish, angelfish, wrasses and gobies, along with occasional larger residents like groupers and trevallys. The site is suitable for experienced beginner to intermediate divers comfortable with vertical structures and occasional currents.
