Punda Beach

Punda Beach is a beach-going dive site off Willemstad, Curaçao, where shallow coastal waters meet a gentle reef fringe just beyond the sandy shore. The site is typically used for introductory sea dives and easy skills practice, with depths generally staying shallow and visibility often-good to excellent in clear Caribbean conditions. Expect warm water year-round, mild currents, and a calm, straightforward plunge from the entry point into sheltered, grassy and sandy areas transitioning to patchy coral formations closer to the reef edge. Common sights include small tropical reef fishes, damselfish, parrotfish, and occasional juvenile reef species; larger pelagics are uncommon here. The area is best combined with local beach facilities, and nearby towns such as Willemstad and Sint Michiel provide access and support from nearby dive centers.
