Platja Mar Bella
Platja Mar Bella is a sheltered urban beach site off the coast of Barcelona. It’s characterized by a flat, sandy bottom with shallow margins, making it accessible for new divers and snorkelers via nearby trained facilities. The area is usually calm with moderate seabed visibility and typical Mediterranean coastal life in the shallows, including small fish, wrasse and octopus sightings near rocky patches or pilings used for access by local divers. Access is quick from central Barcelona and neighbouring seaside towns, with several dive centers nearby offering training and guided dives. When diving at this site, divers should be mindful of surface conditions, boat traffic close to the shore, and any local fishing activity. This site serves as a practical option for practicing buoyancy, pump-trim, and basic underwater navigation during short coastal dives.
