Piedras Altas

Piedras Altas is a coastal dive site near Almuñécar, positioned along the Granada coast. The site features rocky ledges and a sloping bottom that provides a mix of shallow to mid-depth exploration. Entry is typically from a rocky shore or small beach, suitable for boat or shore dives depending on conditions. Expect clear Mediterranean water with moderate visibility and typical Western Mediterranean fauna such as wrasse, damselfish, moray eels, bream, and occasional octopus. The area lies close to the Bermejales and Punta de la Mona regions, offering a straightforward drift or wall-like profile depending on the chosen line, with currents possible but generally manageable for experienced recreational divers.
