St Peter Port

Mud Slope Run

Mud Slope Run is a shallow, grassy-sand slope site located near the urban coast. Access is straightforward from the harbor area, with a gentle drop-off that begins close to the start and provides a relaxed entry for easydive days. The site typically features a sloping bottom with patches of seagrass and sparse bomies, transitioning to sand at deeper depths. Expect calm conditions with modest currents common in sheltered bays. Marine life is typical of temperate coastal areas, including small reef fish, wrasse, blennies, gobies, and occasionally shy exposure of cuttlefish or small solitary ambush predators around structure. The shallow profile makes it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers seeking a simple drift-free dive or a longer compass swim along the slope. Visibility can vary with weather, but on fair days it offers clear blue water and straightforward navigation along the slope’s contours.
