South Hams
Mewstone East
Mewstone East is a coastal UK dive site off the Devon coast near the South Hams. It forms part of a rocky seabed and is typically dived from the surface with boat access. Expect temperate conditions, moderate visibility, and a shallow to mid-depth wall or reef-style topography with concretion and natural rock formations. Common temperate species include wrasse, blennies, gobies, conger eels, and schools of small fish around rocky outcrops. Currents can be variable; plan dives with local guidance and suitable training. Proximity to the towns around Plymouth and the South Hams makes it a convenient option for day trips from coastal bases.
