Mari Mari Shore
Mari Mari Shore is a shallow coastal site offering easy access from northern Sabah. Located near Tanjung Aru and Kota Kinabalu, this calm shore dive typically features sandy bottoms with patches of seagrass and occasional rocky outcrops. Depths are gentle, making it suitable for beginner sessions and relaxed shore dives when conditions are calm. Expect reef-associated species common to tropical Southeast Asia, such as small fusiliers and wrasses, with occasional crabs and shrimps in rocky pockets. Visibility can vary with tides, and current is usually mild near the beach. Access is straightforward from nearby towns; shore entries are common, and boats may run short hops to nearby patches if conditions allow. Always dive within your training and local guidelines.
