Maravilla

Maravilla is a local dive site near San Miguel de Abona, Arona and Granadilla de Abona on Tenerife. The area offers relatively calm Atlantic conditions with typical coastal volcanic reef structure common to the southern Canary Islands. Expect shallow to moderate depths, sheltered in calm conditions, and easy access from nearby towns. Underwater topography features rocky outcrops and crevices that host a variety of small reef fish, wrasses, damselfish, and occasional octopus or sea urchins in the gaps. Visibility is generally good in settled weather, with currents usually light. This site is suitable for entry-level divers and those looking for a relaxed shore or boat dive within reach of the southern Tenerife towns.
