Almuñécar
Los Molinos
Los Molinos is a small shore dive site near Almuñécar, on the southern coast of Spain. The site typically features a gentle slope with rocky outcrops and patches of sandy bottom, accessible from the beach with a short paddle or walk-in entry. Depths are generally shallow, with most dives staying in the 6–14 meter range, making it suitable for beginners under stable conditions. The underwater terrain supports a mix of Mediterranean fauna such as groupers, damselfish, moray eels, octopus, and wrasses, along with seagrass and soft coral pockets that attract small critters. Visibility varies with weather and currents but is commonly fair to good on calm days. Given its proximity to Almuñécar and Nerja, Los Molinos serves as a convenient local dive for shore divers staying along the Costa del Sol.
