Line Reef
Line Reef is a coastal reef dive site off the east coast, near the Tanzania archipelago. The site typically features shallow to moderate depths with a healthy coral cover and a variety of reef-dwelling species. Entry is usually from a gentle shore or small boat drop, with currents generally mild to moderate depending on tides and conditions. Divers can expect a mix of hard and soft corals, small schooling fish, reef-dwellers like parrotfish, angelfish, wrasses, and occasional larger groupers. Visibility varies with currents, but calm days offer clear viewing of the reef structure and associated life. This site is commonly accessed from the nearby towns, with Line Reef serving as a pleasant option for beginners and experienced divers alike who want to explore a vibrant Indo-Pacific-style reef environment close to shore.
