Mahibadhoo
Lily Manta Point
Lily Manta Point sits off the atoll fringe near Dhangethi, Malé Atoll. This reef is typically shallow near the outer edge, with easy entry from shore or boat and a relaxed drift in good conditions. Divers commonly encounter abundant reef life, including schooling reef fish, reef sharks, spotted eagle rays, and chances to see manta rays cleaning near cleaning stations, especially during plankton-rich periods. The site features a sloping coral garden, with sandy patches in deeper sections and occasional swim-throughs when currents allow. Visibility varies with season but is often good, and surface conditions can be knifed by breeze, so plan for a comfortable boat ride and a safety stop at the end of the dive. This site is well-suited to check-out dives, drift dives, and macro observation around the coral heads. Remember local regulations and keep a respectful distance from marine life to preserve the health of the reef.
