Les Petites Tinyes
Les petites Tinyes is a local Mediterranean dive site near Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cerbère, and Portbou, accessible within a short drive from these towns in the southern French Pyrenees-Orientales. The site comprises rocky reef structures close to shore with gentle to moderate canyons and small crevices, typical of the French Catalan coast. Depths are shallow to moderate, making it suitable for recreational divers and training dives. Expect clear water conditions in good visibility periods, with common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, wrasses, octopus, and moray eels around rocky outcrops and posidonia meadows nearby. Access is straightforward from local dive centers, and calm weather usually yields comfortable conditions for shore or short boat entries. Always check local currents and sea conditions, as coastal sites can change quickly.
