Les Moures

Les Moures is a coastal dive site near Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, Palavas-les-Flots and Mauguio on the French Mediterranean coast. The dive area typically features local shore-access topography with sandy bottoms, and rocky outcrops close to the coast. Access is straightforward for shore divers and local dive centers in the Montpellier area often run boat and shore trips to nearby spots. Expected conditions include mild visibility, mild currents and a shallow to moderate depth profile suitable for recreational divers. Typical Western Mediterranean marine life in the region includes groupers, moray eels, octopus, picasso crabs and assorted wrasses around rocky patches and posidonia meadows, with the potential to encounter small pelagics closer to deeper sections. This site is commonly used for beginner to intermediate dives and for practice runs by local dive centers.
