San Andrés
La Rocasa
La Rocasa is a coastal dive site near San Luis and San Andrés, accessible within a short boat ride from the mainland. The site features a sloping seabed with scattered rocky outcrops and intermittent patches of seagrass, typical of shallow tropical reefs. Entry is from a small boat or shore near protected coves, with calm conditions common on fair-weather days. Expect clear warm water and visibility often in the 10–20+ meter range. Underwater life includes reef-associated fish such as snappers, parrotfish, angelfish, groupers, and wrasses, with occasional moray eels and blue tangs around the rocky features. The topography provides soft contours for drift-free exploration and straightforward orientation for divers of all levels. Nearby anchorages enable easy access from local dive centers and coastal towns.
