La Pouponnière

La Pouponnière is a shallow reef site near the Le Diamant area, accessible from the trio of towns around Martinique’s southern coast. The site lies in calm, warm tropical waters with gentle entry and a gradual slope that hosts a mix of coral formations and sandy patches. Expect a straightforward dive along a terrace with short vertical drop-offs and scattered coral heads that shelter small reef fish, damselfish, parrotfish and trumpetfish. Visibility is typically good in clear conditions, and currents are usually mild, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers or those practicing shallow-water skills.
