La Playita

La Playita is a local Mediterranean dive site near Almuñécar. Accessible from the coast within a short boat ride or shore entry, it features a gentle slope and mixed bottom terrain typical of the region. Conditions are generally calm with moderate visibility, making it suitable for beginners and recreational divers. Expect a seabed of sandy patches interspersed with small rocks and eel grass, with common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, damselfish, octopus, and moray eels in nearby crevices. The site is often used for introductory dives and short mechanics-focused recreational dives rather than deep exploration.
