La Galera

La Galera is a local Mediterranean dive site near Palamós, Calonge i Sant Antoni, and Platja d'Aro. The site is commonly accessed by divers from the Costa Brava towns, with shallow to moderate depth ranges typical of shallow offshore reefs. Expect coastal rocky substrate, clear water in good conditions, and abundant marine life common to the region. The area can feature small caves and crevices, with habitats that support species such as groupers, smaller reef fish, moray eels, and wrasses. Conditions are generally suitable for recreational divers, with visibility varying seasonally and currents usually mild near the shore.
