Kamiyama South

Kamiyama South is a coastal dive site near Naha on Okinawa, Japan. Located in the subtropical waters of the Ryukyu Archipelago, the site features a gentle sloping reef and sandy patches with scattered rocky outcrops. Access is typically straightforward from local shore facilities, with entry from a beach or small jetty depending on conditions. Depths are shallow to moderate, commonly ranging from the upper few meters down to around 20 meters, making it suitable for recreation dives and beginner-friendly profiles while offering interest for more experienced divers. Expect kura moray eels, color-rich reef fish such as wrasse and snappers, and occasional sea turtles in nearby gaps. The site’s structure supports macro opportunities and easy navigation along gentle contours, with visibility driven by seasonal plankton and current conditions.
