Johnlhea Coral Garden

Johnlhea Coral Garden is a shallow reef site off the coast near San Juan, with most diving typically kept within a safe depth range of a few tens of metres. The site features a healthy coral garden teeming with small reef fish and invertebrates, framed by gentle sandy patches that provide easy entry and exit for mixed-ability divers. Visibility is generally good in calm conditions, and currents tend to be light, making it suitable for beginners and recreational divers exploring Western Philippines reefs. Access is straightforward from nearby town beaches, and guided dives from local centers are common. Marine life commonly observed includes a variety of damselfish, wrasses, and small groupers, plus assorted molluscs and crustaceans typical of shallow coral ecosystems.
