Hala Kanoa

Hala Kanoa is a shallow reef site near Willemstad in Curaçao, typically explored from the shore or a short boat ride. The area features clear turquoise water with calm conditions on many days. Expect a gentle topography with sandy patches and small coral formations, suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Common Western Atlantic reef inhabitants such as damselfish, parrotfish, angelfish, and moray eels, plus the occasional reef shark or spotted eagle ray in the wider Curaçao reefs, are possible but not guaranteed. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, with sheltered conditions usually prevailing. As always, currents can develop with tides, so plan dives with local guidance.
