Garden Eels

Garden Eels is a local Panglao dive site known for its tranquil shallow habitats and its resident garden eel colonies. Located off Panglao Island, the site typically features calm, clear water with gentle currents, making it suitable for beginners and snorkellers venturing into scuba diving. Expect sandy patches interspersed with patches of seagrass and slow-moving resident fish, including small reef fish, damselfish, and occasionally juvenile jacks. The area offers a relaxed drift-free pattern, with entry from a gentle shore or a short boat ride depending on conditions. Access is convenient from Panglao towns and nearby Dauis, both within a short drive, and makes for easy day trips from local dive centers.
