Fire Rock is a coastal dive site off Pebble Beach that features a rocky uplift extending from shallow to mid-depths. The site is typically explored from shoreline or small boat entries, with water conditions that are seasonally influenced by upwelling and surge. Expect a rocky hard-bottom environment with limited sand patches and a mix of small kelp andMacroalgae in near-surface zones. Marine life commonly includes Elbow-tooth wrasse, various surfzone species, and invertebrates such as crabs and sea urchins. The topography offers small caves and crevices suitable for macro critters and gentle swim-throughs for experienced recreational divers. Visibility varies but is generally moderate, and currents can be minor to moderate depending on tides. This site is best suited for divers comfortable with coastal conditions and a short boat or shore entry.
