Edna’s Anchor
Edna’s Anchor is a shallow reef site near Avarua on Rarotonga. The site lies in calm coastal waters and features a rounded, grassy sand base with a prominent anchor resting on the seabed. It’s accessible to beginner divers and snorkelers, with mild currents and good viz on typical days. Expect common Pacific reef life such as small reef fish, trevally, and occasional octopus near the anchor area. Entry is from a sandy beach/shore with an easy descent, and nearby cottages and local facilities make it a practical training or relaxed recreational dive. The site’s proximity to Avarua and nearby towns provides convenient access for short trips from the capital region.
