Eastern Sambo Reef is a shallow to moderately deep reef site off Stock Island and Key West, Florida. The reef forms a classic Florida Keys structure with healthy coral heads, swim-throughs, and a gentle slope down to about 20 meters, offering a mix of macro life and schooling reef fish. Expect clear to warm tropical waters with typical Caribbean‑florida marine life such as parrotfish, angelfish, grunts, snappers, and spur-and-groove formations. Currents are usually mild to moderate depending on tides; drift dives are common in some channels. Access is straightforward from nearby boats or shore-based operations in the Stock Island/Key West area, and the site is popular with recreational divers and snorkelers alike.
