Draga Da Madalena (Wreck)

Draga da Madalena (Wreck) is a coastal wreck dive site off Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The site lies in shallow to moderate depths, typically reaching around the 15–25 metre range, with the wreck resting as a partially collapsed hull that allows easy external exploration. Entry is from a sandy bottom with a gentle descent to the wreck, making it accessible for trained recreational divers. Expect marine life typical of the northwest Portuguese coast, including schools of small reef fish, seabream, blennies and occasional moray eels, with the potential for free-swimming pelagics in higher-energy conditions. Currents are generally mild but can pick up with Atlantic swells, so plan dives with local centers and check conditions. Nearby cities Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto offer access to dive centers that run regular trips, with the closest hub just a few kilometres away.
