Devol Temple

Devol Temple is a shallow freshwater site suitable for training and practice in controlled conditions. Located in coastal Sri Lanka near Kahawa, Akurala and Madampagama, this site features a calm, muddy-bottom environment with limited visibility typical of inland river-fed waters. It is not a natural reef or wreck site; divers usually work on buoyancy control and basic skills close to the temple surroundings. The dive is best suited for entry-level or recovery-focused training, with access from nearby coastal towns and calm water conditions. Expect limited marine life and a focus on clear, structured training rather than exploration.
