Dania Beach

Dania Beach Pier

Dania Beach Pier is a gentle, sandy-bottom site off a long wooden pier in southeast Florida. The dive typically starts near the shoreline and follows a gradual depth profile as you move away from the pier, commonly around a few meters and extending to about 6–12 meters depending on current and tide. The site is known for easy conditions, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, with good chances to see tropical reef fish, small snappers, tornadoes of glass minnows in calm conditions, and dense schools at times near the structure. The pier provides structure for small marine life and occasional artificial substrates from debris. Access from the public jetty, and local dive operators offer entry from the beach or the pier. As with Florida inshore sites, currents can develop with changing tides; plan for a drift-free entry and always stay mindful of boat traffic and pier pilings.
