Cyclops Caves

Cyclops Caves is a coastal Cypriot dive site known for its series of lava-tube style passages and shallow caverns running along a rocky reef. Accessible from the Protaras area, the site typically features calm, clear water with modest currents and good visibility. Divers commonly enter from a gentle slope or a rock ledge, exploring hollow sections and swim-throughs within 5 to 15 metres of depth. The cave-like formations host a range of Western Atlantic/Mediterranean-inspired species typical to the Eastern Mediterranean: gorgonians, groupers, damselfish, wrasse, octopus, and occasionally moray eels. Being close to popular tourist towns, water conditions can vary with wind, but when conditions are calm this site offers a approachable backdrop for beginner to intermediate divers seeking interesting underwater architecture rather than long drift elements.
