CJ’s Dropoff is a coastal, shallow-to-moderate depth site known for its sloping reef-top and a vertical drop that attracts a range of reef life. The area around Up Cay and Utila along the Honduran Bay Islands yields clear water and typical Caribbean diversity, with grouper, snapper, angelfish and parrotfish common in shallower sections and larger pelagic life possible deeper along the drop. Entry is usually gentle from a shore or a small boat, with current depending on tides. Visibility is commonly good, particularly in the dry season, making this a solid option for introductory to intermediate divers exploring Caribbean reef scenery.
