Château De Duingt

Château de Duingt is a shallow shore dive along the small fortifications and rock outcrops near the village of Duingt on Lake Annecy. The site centers on a historic lakeside ruin accessible from the shore, with gradual entries from a sandy to rocky bottom. Typical conditions are calm freshwater with good visibility on most days, especially in late spring to autumn, making it a suitable option for beginners and training dives. Expect Mediterranean-influenced lake fauna, including small cyprinids, perch, sunfish, and local vegetation such as submerged aquatic plants along the margins. The site is popular for a relaxed, short dive that pairs well with lake shoreline scenery and a post-dive coffee in town.
