Koror
Chandelier Caves
Chandelier Caves is a shore-accessed reef dive on Koror, Palau, known for its labyrinth of limestone chambers carved by currents and waves. The site features underwater cave passages and swim-throughs with moderate depth, typically accessed from a sandy blue water approach. Divers explore the network of caverns, columns and hanging stalactite-like formations created by dissolution of the limestone, with calm water conditions common on the Palau reef. The surrounding Palauan reef hosts a variety of hard corals, small reef fish and macro life; visibility ranges with conditions but is often good near the cave entrances. The site is suitable for experienced divers comfortable with cave-like swim-throughs and directional navigation. Local currents can affect entry and exit, so planning with a current check and a guide is recommended.
