Cfk Lagoon

CFK Lagoon is a shallow, gently sloping site located near Stock Island and Key West. Access is straightforward from local dive centers, and the site typically features calm conditions with good visibility in protected takes of the lagoon. The underwater landscape includes sandy patches interspersed with seagrass beds and scattered patches of coral and rubble, offering an approachable environment for beginners and practicing buoyancy. Expect calm water, mild currents, and a bottom mostly between a few and several meters deep; it serves as a good training or macro/muck-friendly site when conditions permit. Typical wildlife in such lagoon habitats includes small reef fish, blennies, gobies, and juvenile tropical species common to southern Florida waters. This is a local, easily accessible site best paired with nearby dive centers for surface support and weather-aware planning.
