The Cayman Salvager is a classic wreck dive off Stock Island, near Key West. The site is a former cargo vessel that rests on a sandy bottom with the hull tilted and partially exposed. Access is from shore or a basic boat entry, and divers typically descend to the hull at modest depths with good visibility. The wreck offers ample exterior structure to explore, with potential swim-throughs and scattered debris around the deck. Expect marine life typical of inshore Florida Keys wreck sites, including schooling fish, snapper, angelfish, moray eels, and occasional reef fish attracted to the shelter of the hull. Currents are variable, so planned dives should include appropriate buoyancy control and a competent local guide. The site is commonly combined with nearby reef and other wreck dives in the Stock Island/Key West area.
