Wewala
Cave
Cave is a local Sri Lankan dive site near Hikkaduwa and Wewala, easily reached within a few minutes from these coastal towns. The site typically features shallow swim-throughs and rocky formations that create sheltered gutters and small caves. It is commonly used for training dives and for recreational exploration, especially on calm days with good visibility. Expect typical tropical reef life for the region, including wrasses, damselfish, parrotfish, eels, and occasional crabs, lobsters, and shrimps around crevices and overhangs. Conditions can vary with tides; always dive within your certification level and plan entry and exit carefully from the shore or beach access.
