Canons De Tamariu

Canons de Tamariu is a shallow offshore reef dive site on the Costa Brava, accessed from Tamariu. The site features rocky ledges and a sloping seabed with ample nooks for small marine life. Depths typically range from a few metres down to around 18 metres, making it suitable for beginners and snorkelers venturing into scuba. Visibility is usually good in calm conditions, with clear blue water and a gentle, comfortable current along the reef edge. Common Western Mediterranean residents include groupers, sea breams, moray eels, wrasses, and octopus, along with posidonia meadows nearby. Access is straightforward from the coast and nearby towns, with Palafrugell, Begur, and Palamós all within easy reach for divers looking to pair a beach day with a relaxed dive.
