Bonito Island

Bonito Island is a tropical Philippine dive site known for its calm, shallow reefs and nearby island scenery. Divers typically access from Mabini, Puerto Galera, or Batangas City, with several boats heading to the area in under an hour. The site features gentle drifts and varied topography such as coral gardens, small swim-throughs, and occasional sandy patches. Expect typical Indo-Pacific reef life: damsels, wrasses, clownfish, parrotfish, groupers, occasional turtles, and a healthy cover of hard corals. Conditions are generally calm with moderate water visibility; currents can be light to moderate and are best for beginner to intermediate divers. The nearby municipalities offer shore access and transfer options to multiple entry points.
