Black Cove is a small, sheltered dive site on Tenerife’s southern coast. Access is straightforward from nearby coastal towns, with gentle entry from the shore or a short boat ride depending on conditions. The site typically features a rocky seabed with a mix of sandy pockets and small swim-throughs, suitable for beginners and recreational divers. Expect calm to moderate conditions in good weather, with visibility often ranging from fair to good. The local wildlife includes common Western Canary Island species such as damselfish, wrasse, and octopuses in rocky crevices, with pelagic visitors possible on driftier days. Given its location near Granadilla de Abona and San Miguel de Abona, it serves as a convenient option for a half-day dive when a longer Tenerife site is not on the schedule.
