The bay features sandy bottoms with scattered seagrass beds, underwater ledges, and patches of coral. Typical conditions are calm to moderate, with visibility often ranging from several to 15 meters depending on wind and currents. Diversity includes tropical reef fish, snapper, parrotfish, and occasional larger pelagics around structure and passes. Entry is straightforward from piers or boats; boats often depart from nearby Miami areas. The site is popular for beginners, shore dives, and training dives, as well as macro observations around seagrass and rubble.
