🇻🇳 Vietnam

Vietnam is a strong scuba diving option for coastal and island diving, with most activity concentrated along the South Central Coast and in the Gulf of Thailand / South China Sea zones. The best-known bases are Nha Trang (Khánh Hòa Province) with easy access to offshore islands and reefs, and Đà Nẵng (Quảng Nam) for diving around the nearby Cham Islands, where currents can be stronger and visibility varies with the season. Water is typically saltwater/sea, with warm tropical temperatures most of the year. Conditions are often best in the dry season, while the wetter months can bring more current and reduced visibility depending on the dive area. Freshwater diving is possible in some inland areas, but it’s far less common than ocean diving for visiting divers.
