Colón and the central Caribbean coastline include easier access points for day trips, with conditions that can vary with currents and wind. On the Pacific side, Veraguas is associated with deeper, more remote-style diving around the Coiba region, often favored for its chances to see larger pelagics when conditions are right. Visibility is generally best in calmer seasons; divers should expect saltwater conditions, potential current in open-water sites, and planning that follows the local tide and weather.
