The Marshall Islands are an atoll nation in the North Pacific, with scuba diving mainly based on lagoon reefs and the outer reef slopes around each atoll. The typical experience is calm-enough lagoon diving for many conditions, and more exposed “pass” or outer-slope dives where currents can be stronger. Water temperatures are generally warm year-round and visibility can be good, although conditions vary by site and weather. Divers often come for the reef ecosystem and, in places like Kwajalein, for WWII-era wreck diving where local operators offer guided access. Because the country is remote and dive sites are spread across scattered atolls, trips are usually organized with limited-day rotations or longer stays, and liveaboards can be an option depending on the season and routing.
