Kuwait is a small Gulf country where scuba diving is mostly concentrated in the Persian Gulf. Compared with nearby Red Sea destinations, diving options are more limited and many trips focus on local coastal access rather than large natural reef systems. Expect saltwater conditions with warm temperatures for much of the year, but visibility can vary and currents may be stronger around exposed areas. Offshore, divers may find the types of environments typical of the region such as man-made structures and sheltered coastal spots, so site briefings about entry/exit and navigation matter. Most visiting divers will base their trip around Kuwait City and nearby coastal areas (including Hawalli) and plan dives with a local center that knows current conditions and safe access points.
