Bermuda is an island destination in the North Atlantic Ocean, with diving focused mainly around the coastal reefs, shore walls and sheltered bays. Water is saltwater year-round, and conditions can change quickly with the weather, so plan around swell and current. Visibility is often best on calm days, and temperatures tend to be cooler than in tropical destinations, especially outside the summer season. Divers commonly find a mix of reef diving close to shore, deeper drops off the walls, and opportunities to explore wrecks in some areas. As a small island, the dive inventory is limited compared with larger regions, but it’s a convenient option for a short trip with a mix of easy access and occasional deeper dives.
