Belo Horizonte

Belo Horizonte is not a coastal diving destination. Located inland in Minas Gerais, Brazil, it serves primarily as a gateway city and cultural hub. Nearby freshwater diving options exist farther afield in the state, but they are outside the city and require travel to established quarry and lake dive sites. In the immediate area, there are no local dive centers or marine dive sites, so diving activity is typically pursued by visitors as day trips from the coast or by traveling to other Brazilian dive hubs for reef, wreck, or cenote-like freshwater dives.
