Bicheno

Bicheno is a small coastal town on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia. It isn’t a major dive hub, but it serves as a gateway to nearby dive opportunities along the Freycinet Peninsula and along the state’s southeastern coast. Local diving is typically modest in scale, with dive operations focusing on shore dives and short boat trips from the town. Expect cold, clear Tasmanian waters, rocky reefs, and cold-water species, with stronger currents at some sites. Since there are only a few nearby dive sites, many divers combine a land-based stay with day trips to nearby sheltered bays and sheltered reefs.
