Moreton Island

Moreton Island is a coastal destination off Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. The island is known for its pristine beaches, dunes, and clear coastal waters. On-site diving options are limited; the nearby area offers access to sheltered reef habitats and shallow, calm waters suitable for beginner training and snorkeling excursions. With the island’s proximity to Brisbane, divers often use it as a scenic day-trip base or combine it with other Gold Coast–Brisbane dive options. Note that the island itself has very limited freshwater diving, so most SCUBA activity would be found in the broader Moreton Bay area or along the adjacent coast when conditions allow.
